National Disaster Act (Cap. 267).

This Act concerns prevention and management of actual or imminent occurrences of disasters including storm, flood, drought, bush fire or other natural happening; an infestation, plague or epidemic; being an occurrence that endangers, or threatens to endanger, the safety or health of people in Vanuatu, or destroys or damages, or threatens to destroy or damage, property in Vanuatu. A National Disaster Committee and a National Disaster Management Office are established. The National Disaster Management Office is to prepare a National Disaster Plan.
