Restriction of Movement of Agriculture Goods in Port Vila and Control of Movement of Vessels in Port Vila (Order No. 11 of 2021).

This Order No. 11 of 2021, issued under the Plant Protection Act [CAP 239] by the Minister of Agriculture of Vanuatu, restricts the movement of specific agricultural goods—namely coconut husks, coconut trunks, palm fronds, and pig or poultry manure—from Port Vila to prevent the spread of the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle. It also imposes controls on vessel departures from Port Vila, requiring all vessels to leave by 4:00 PM and reduce onboard lighting the night before departure.
