Abstract
The Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act No. 37 of 2021 in the Republic of Vanuatu is a comprehensive legislative document that outlines amendments to several existing laws. The Act covers a wide range of areas, including amendments to Custom Land Management Act No. 33 of 2013 with regard to deletion of "Justice" and substitution of “Custom Land Management”. The Act further repeals Paragraph 147(2)(h) of the Fisheries Act No. 10 of 2014. The Act further amends definitions of Director, enforcement officer, and Minister in the Foreshore Development Act (CAP 90) and finally the Act amends the Rural Development Bank Act No. 20 of 2006 as follow: repealing definition of “closely associated or affiliated with a political party” and repealing Paragraphs 14(3A)(d), 14(4)(cb), 20(4)(d) and 21(2)(d).
