Abstract
This Ordinance makes provision for measures to prevent and fight any pathogen of virus, bacterial, or fungus origin or pest affecting cocoa trees and declared to be a disease or pest to which this Ordinance applies by the Head of State under section 16. The Director of Agriculture, Forests, and Fisheries may inspect any land, building, or other place where any produce of the cocoa tree is prepared or otherwise dealt with for the purpose of ascertaining that the provisions of this Ordinance are being observed, ad may place identification marks on any trees, and may serve any notice on an occupier of land requiring to take such action as prescribed by section 4. Sections 10 and following regulate the importation of cocoa beans, cocoa plant material, place restriction on importation of plant material which may be host of cocoa diseases, prescribe offences and make provisions of the Plants and Soil Importation (Disease Control) Ordinance 1950 and all enactments relating to customs applicable to the importation of any material or thing to which this Ordinance applies.
