Abstract
This Import Risk Analysis for the importation of olive trees from New Zealand is made pursuant to the Plants Act 1984. that Act, in section 10, places restrictions on the importation of plant material that carry pests and diseases with it. olive tree consignments shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate by the exporting country NPPO or authorized agent with an annotation that confirms that specific pre-shipment treatments and/or post-treatment security arrangements have been met for the consignment and that the consignment is free from soil, pests, etc. Other declarations regarding the area of origin and the state of the consignment are required. Consignment shall be properly labelled and be subject to quarantine procedures.
