National Policy on Gender Equality and Rights of Women and Girls 2021-2031.

The Policy provides a national framework for promoting gender equality, reaffirming Samoa’s commitments to major international human rights instruments and addressing recent public health and climate challenges; it sets seven priority areas covering economic empowerment, health, education, leadership, access to justice, gender‑responsive infrastructure and environmental measures, and promotes both mainstreaming and targeted actions. Implementation is led by the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development with oversight from the Community Sector Steering Committee, supported by institutional strengthening, improved data and research, regular monitoring and evaluation, broad stakeholder participation and specialist gender advisory support.
