Abstract
The Ordinance concerns the control of weeds listed in the First Schedule. Every occupier of land shall do all things necessary within his power and means to effectually clear such land of noxious weeds to the satisfaction of the Director of Agriculture, Forests, and Fisheries. The Director may at all reasonable times enter on any land, whether enclosed or not, for the purpose of ascertaining if the requirements of the last preceding section have been complied with by the occupier. Upon default by the owner, the Director may serve a notice upon the owner and order works to be carried out on expense of the owner. Other provisions of this Act concern control of weeds on Government land and regulation making powers of the Head of State.
