Abstract
This Act provides rules for the importation, storage, handling and placing on the market of poisons, i.e. substances declared by the Head of State to be a poison.
Importation, packing or sale of a poison requires a licence or authority and importation may only be carried out by certain categories of persons. The Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Health shall keep a register of the licences issued by him or her under this Act. The Minister of Health may prohibit importation, sale, or use of toxic substances including pesticides, insecticides and radioactive substances.
