Abstract
Every occupier of land shall at all times undertake whatever is necessary to eradicate beetles fro the land occupied and to prevent the spreading of beetles. Land shall be kept clean of rotting trees and other wood in accordance with article 3. Also articles 4 and 5 deal with removal off wood that may harbour beetles. The Inspector may serve a notice of eradication on occupiers requiring to take measures specified in article 7. If the occupier does not undertake action on the notice, the Inspector may order carrying out of measures the cost of which shall be born by the occupier. Remaining provisions concern powers of inspection and intervention of the Director or Inspectors, also specifically for public land or customary land, compensation for destruction, duties of local authorities, penalties and regulation making powers of the Head of State.
