Abstract
The e-Health Policy and Strategy 2017 -2022 aims to support the strategic objectives of the Samoa Health Sector in a way that is comprehensive, pragmatic and innovative. The vision of the Policy is to improve and sustain Quality of life for All by using eHealth to provide effective, accessible, safe, affordable and efficient health care services. The Policy mission is to ensure the health standards for the Samoan population are improved and maintained through a robust eHealth framework. The text provides that the Government of Samoa is committed to using eHealth to deliver quality health care services to the people of Samoa through the proper use and management of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT). The Policy is designed in 6 Parts and among others refer to Samoa's current health system and e-Health environment, implementation of the e-Health Policy, and funding.
