Republican Resolution No. 11 of 1997 establishing the General Department for Water and Sewage System.

This Resolution is composed of 21 articles. Terms and definitions are given in article 1. This Institution enjoy the legal person and shall be under the control of the Minister of Electricity and Waters. (arts. 3-5). This Department aims at the contribution in the realization of the following matters: the State Plan for the social and economic development by the increase of the life-level of citizens; improvement and development of services to grant drinking water; protection of the public health; and the protection of environment (art. 6). Duties and competencies of the Institution are defined in article 7. Capital, incomes and finance resources of the Institution are dealt with in articles 8-16.
