Delegation of powers and duties under section 87(A)(1B) of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004 (No. 639 of 2014).

This Notice of the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, made under section 42(2)(e) of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 provides for the delegation of powers and duties in respect of prohibition of activities that may negatively impact on the survival of a listed threatened or protected species National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004 to the Director-General of the National Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism or any functionary acting in that position. The power includes the power to subdelegate.
