Department of Mineral Resources Environmental Management Plan 2016-2020 (Notice 1192 of 2018).

This Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) is required in terms of Section 11(2) of the National Environmental Management Act. The aim of the EMP is to assess how the Department's policies, programmes, plans and decisions are taking into account environmental considerations as regarding the mining sector. The Plan contains various provisions regarding water resources management and prevention of water pollution.
