Establishment of Statutory Measure and determination of guideline prices: levy on fresh citrus fruit intended for export (No. R. 1007 of 2004).

This Statutory Measure requires producers and exporters of fresh fruit to pay a levy to the Citrus Growers’ Association of South Africa.
The levy is imposed on exported citrus fruit and shall be payable by producers or exporters on behalf of producers of citrus fruit. Fund thus collected are used by the Association for the financing of production research and development, plant improvement, information and statistics and market access functions to maintain current and develop new export markets, as well as the transformation of the citrus sector.
