Establishment of Statutory Measure and determination of guideline prices: levies relating to potatoes (No. R. 638 of 2011).

This Measure imposes a levy on locally produced and imported potatoes payable by potato traders and producers to the Potato Industry Development Trust. The funds thus obtained shall be used for the development of the potato industry. In particular, financial support shall be granted for research, the creation of market access for small and medium scale farmers, developing of markets, dissemination of information and the delivery of industry services to potato producers at grassroots level.
