Establishment of Statutory Measure: registration of producers and exporters of table grapes (No. R. 892 of 2012).

This Statutory Measure, made by the Minister of Forestry and Fisheries under sections 13 and 19 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires all producers and exporters of table grapes requires producers and exporters of fresh table grapes to register with the South African Table Grape Industry (SATI). A person shall have a choice to register as either a producer or exporter and a person who is a producer as well as a producer or exporter shall register as a producer and as an exporter. The Measure will assist in promoting the efficiency of the marketing of table grape.
