With this Notice the Minister of Minerals and Energy, acting in terms of section 106(1) of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 exempts a specified authority from the provisions of sections 16, 20, 22 and 27 of the said Act in respect of any activity to remove any mineral within the area of jurisdiction of the authority for specified purposes.
