Abstract
Section 2 defines the land to which the provisions of this Act apply. The provisions of the Subdivision of Agricultural Land Act, 1970 shall not apply to land on which a development is undertaken in terms of this Act. Consent to an occupier (defined in section 3) to reside on or use land shall only be terminated and the occupier evicted in accordance with conditions set out in section 8. Rights and duties of an occupier are defined in section 6. Section 7 concerns the impounding of animals. Other provisions of this Act concern court order for eviction and consequences of such orders, dispute resolution, and various measures to facilitate long-term security of tenure for occupiers.
