Abstract
These Regulations, issued by the Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry under section 20(2) of the National Veld and Forest Fire Act, 1998, concern the constitution, formation and registration of Fire Protection Associations and the appointment and registration of Fire Protection Officers. Owners who wish to form a Fire Protection Association for the purpose of predicting, preventing, managing and extinguishing veldfires must follow procedures as set out by these Regulations.
