Government Notice no. R 3192 of 2023. Establishment of Statutory Measure: Records and Returns by Importers of Meat, Poultry Meat and Mechanically Deboned Meat.

This Statutory Measure, implementing provisions of sections 10, 13, 14 and 18 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, no. 47 of 1996, applies to all importers of meat, poultry meat and mechanically deboned meat (MDM) and provides for compelling importers of meat, poultry meat and MDM to keep records and render returns to the association of meat importers and exporters, considered as the levy administrator, in order to ensure a continuous and accurate spread of information relating to imported and marketed meat to all role players, and to promote the efficiency of the marketing of the meat.
