Abstract
The Land and Agricultural Bank is a body corporate and shall be controlled by a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister (sects. 3 and 4). The objects of the Bank shall be the promotion, facilitation and support of; (a) equitable ownership of land by historically disadvantaged persons; (b) agrarian reform and land distribution; (c) land access for agricultural purposes; (d) agricultural entrepreneurship; (e) increase of productivity and profitability in the agricultural sector; (f) proper use of land programs; (g) food security; and (h) other objects set out in section 3. The Bank shall provide financial services to promote and facilitate access to ownership of agricultural land and mobilize and facilitate the private sector banking to do the same. (54 sections)
