Marketing of Agricultural Products Act: Continuation of Statutory Measures: Records and returns by abattoirs and exporters of live pigs (No. R. 291 of 2014).

This Statutory Measure, made under sections 10, 13, 14 and 18 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires records and returns to be submitted by abattoirs and exporters of live pigs on their activities to the South African Pork Producers' Organisation ("levy administrator") so as to obtain viable market information relating to pigs slaughtered and marketed or live pigs exported. The Statutory measure shall apply to abattoirs where pigs are slaughtered for commercial use and to exporters of live pigs.
