Marketing of Agricultural Products Act: Wine Industry: Continuation of Statutory Measure and Determination of Guideline Prices (No. R. 1013 of 2013).

This Notice, made by the Minister of Agriculture under sections 13 and 15 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires all bottlers, grape producers, grape juice producers, wine exporters, wine producers and wine traders to register with the South African Wine Industry Information and Systems (SAWIS) in accordance with the Act. The Notice also requires all bottlers, grape producers, wine exporters, wine producers and wine traders to provide SAWIS with prescribed records and returns and impose a research levy, an information levy, a transformation levy, and an export levy on the wine and grapes industry. Levies shall be collected and administered in accordance with this Notice.
