National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act: Prohibited Alien Species (No. 508 of 2013).

This Notice of the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, made under section 67 of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004, establishes for purposes of that section 66 the list of prohibited alien species of wild fauna and flora. Section 67 provides that the Minister must publish a list of those alien species in respect of which a permit mentioned in section 65(1) may not be issued. Section 65 of the Act prohibits the carrying out a restricted activity involving a specimen of an alien species without a permit issued in terms of Chapter 7.
