Abstract
These Regulations of the Minister of Environmental Affairs and made under section 53 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004, prescribe the requirements that pollution prevention plans of greenhouse gases declared as priority air pollutants need to comply with in terms of section 29(3) of the Act. They also define the procedure for submitting and approval of such plans. A person under the obligation to submit a plan must also monitor and evaluate implementation of the approved pollution prevention plan and submit a progress report to the Minister by 31 March each year for the preceding calendar year. the Minister reasonably believes that any information submitted in the pollution prevention plan or annual progress report is incomplete or false, the Minister must instruct, in writing, the person that submitted the information in terms of these Regulations to verify the information submitted.
