Notice no. 635 of 2019. A List of all protected tree species under Section 12 of the National Forests Act (Act no. 84 of 1998).

This Ministerial Notice, promulgated under section 15(3) of the National Forests Act, 1998 (Act No. 84 of 1998), contains, in the attachment, a list of all protected tree species protected under section 12(1) (d) of the Act. In compliance with the provisions of the Act, the Notice prescribes that no person may cut, disturb, damage destroy or remove any protected tree; or collect, remove, transport, export, purchase, sell, donate or in any other manner acquire or dispose of any protected tree, except under a license granted by the Minister. The Notice provides for criminal sanctions in case of contravention to its provisions.
