Notice on rates and charges for the Water Research Fund (No. 532 of 2002).

This Notice provides for the introduction of levies in the form, of rates and charges for purposes of financing of the Water Research Fund as established by the Water Research Act. The rates and charges are imposed in accordance with the amount of land for which use of water for irrigation is permitted or for which a water allocation has been made in terms of Chapter 4 of the National Water Act. Such charges and rates shall be collected by the local irrigation board or other water management institution. For other sectors the rates and charges shall be imposed on the amount of water supplied.
