Abstract
This Notice of the Department of Water Affairs brings provisions of the National Water Act regarding compulsory licensing into effect for a specified catchment area. The requirement of licensing shall apply to the taking of groundwater or surface water and the storage of water. Licensing is necessary for reasons of beneficial water use and efficient water resources management.
