Abstract
This Act amends the Patents Act, no. 57 of 1978. The amendments concern the insertion of the following specific definitions: indigenous biological resource, traditional use; Section 30 of Act no. 57 of 1978 requiring an applicant for a patent to furnish information relating to any role played by an indigenous biological resource, a genetic resource or traditional knowledge or use in an invention; Section 61 of the principal Act, concerning false declaration and statement.
