Abstract
These Regulations, made under the National Water Act, 1998 provide for financial assistance by the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry to farmers with insufficient resources for the development of infrastructure for agricultural water use.
Eligible farmers shall be of historically disadvantaged groups and shall be unable to raise financial assistance for agricultural water use development needs.
The Regulations specify procedures for the application for financial aid and terms and conditions applicable to financial assistance granted.
