Abstract
In implementing provisions of the Fertilizer, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947, these Regulations prescribe a variety of standards and requirements for organic and inorganic fertilizers in order to get them accepted for registration. The Regulations prescribe rules relative to the manufacture and handling of fertilizers. Registration shall take place with the Registrar appointed under the Act. The Regulations also provides for the approval of labels for packaging. Appeal on decisions regarding registration may be had with the Director-General of the Department of Agriculture.

The following regulations are hereby repealed: Government Notice R. 799 of 20 May 1977; Government Notice R. 473 of 14 March 1980; Government Notice R. 472 of 14 March 1980; Government Notice R. 1651 of 26 August 1977; Government Notice R. 1449 of 1 July 1983 but only in as much as it refers to fertilizers.
