Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 15 of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 specify requirements for the use of colourants in the manufacture of foodstuffs. They also concern labelling of foodstuffs containing sweeteners. All colourants shall comply with the latest Specifications of Identity and Purity issued by the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives, and, in the absence of such specifications, with the latest edition of the Food Chemicals Codex.
