Regulations relating to the fortification of certain foodstuffs, Government Notice no. 217 of 2016.

These Regulations, made under Section 15(1) of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act No. 54 of 1972), concern the fortification of defined foodstuffs, particularly maize meal and maize flour, wheat bread and wheat flour. The Regulation cover the following matters: general provisions regarding fortification and penalties in case of misconduct; registration of manufacturers; special provisions and compliance with minimum levels indicated; use of additives and flavourants; labelling of fortified foodstuffs.
