Abstract
These Regulations define quality classes and prescribe quality standards for each class in respect of onions and prohibit the sale of onions in certain parts of South Africa in accordance with section 84 of the Marketing Act.
The Regulations provide powers of inspection to inspectors appointed under the Act to reject consignments of onions and provide for appeal against decisions of inspectors in respect of consignments of onions. The Regulations also prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling of onions.
