Regulations under the Environment Conservation Act regarding application for a waste disposal site permit (G.N. R. No. 1196 of 1994).

This Notice, the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism identifies, under sections 24 and 28 of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989, concerns a permit for the establishment of a waste disposal site. An application for a permit shall be submitted in the prescribed for to the Regional Director of the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry of the area in which the site is situated. The Regulations also concern an appeal under section 35 of the Act against decisions regarding waste management under section 20 of the Act. Such appeal shall be submitted to the Director-General of Water Affairs and Forestry.
