Statutory Measure relative to records and returns by milk producers (No. R. 46 of 2016).

This Measure, made by the Minister of Agriculture under sections 10, 11, 13, 14 and 18 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996, requires a milk producer (any person who keeps bovines, goats or sheep for the production of milk) to supply specific data to the Milk Producers’ Organisation. This is necessary to ensure that continuous, up-to-date and accurate information relating to the livestock farming and production is available to all interested parties in the dairy farming industry sector. One of the purposes of this Measure is to have more readily available and accurate information for the improvement of animal health and prevention of animal diseases.
