Abstract
This Strategic Plan provides for an overview of the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights activity, ensuring the completion of land acquisition for land reform, through the improvement and closing of any existing gaps involving the process of land valuation and the determination of due compensation, within the timeframe of 2021-2024. The Strategic Plan concerns the investigation and settlement of land claims; the improvement of corporate governance; the expropriation of land; community property of land; services of land valuation; financial means to implement the measures. The mission of the Strategic Plan aims at achieving equitable redress to victims of racially motivated land dispossession, in compliance with the provisions of the Restitution of Land Rights Act, 1994 (Act No. 22 of 1994). Therefore, the Strategic Plan identifies two strategic focus areas: restoration of land rights; improvement of land governance and related services.
