Food and Nutrition (Amendment) Act, 2026 (Act No. 46 of 2026).

This Act, consisting of 3 sections, amends the original text as follows (i) replacing Section 6(1) by redefining the composition of the Board of the Commission. The Board is now made up of part-time members appointed by the Minister, including representatives from the ministries responsible for health and agriculture, the Office of the Vice-President, the Attorney-General, the Nutrition Association of Zambia, a research or academic institution in food and nutrition, and a civil society organisation working in relevant areas; (ii) Section 13(4) by reducing the quorum requirement from seven to five members, thereby lowering the minimum number needed for valid meetings and decision-making.
