Abstract
Thsi Act, comsisting of 2 sections, amends the original text by replacing Section 8(1) and restructuring the composition of the Green Economy and Climate Change Technical Committee. It formally establishes the Committee and sets its membership as part-time members appointed by the Minister, including a Chairperson with relevant expertise, representatives from the ministry responsible for agriculture, the Attorney-General, and the Zambia Environmental Management Agency. It also expands stakeholder participation by including three NGO representatives working in green economy and climate change, one representative from academia, and three private sector representatives with expertise in carbon markets, green economy, and climate change.

Entry into force notes
This Act enetrs into force on the expiry of the term of office, or removal by the Minister, of the members of the Technical Committee holding office prior to the enactment of this Act.
