Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Ionising Radiation Act by providing for limits of exposure to radiation, prescribing structural requirements for buildings in which radiation exposure takes place and the certificate of compliance and relative inspections, licensing by the Board of persons wishing to use ionising radiation devices, transport and storage of radioactive materials, tasks of Radiation Safety Officers, report of and limits for release of radioactive materials to the environment, production and handling of consumer products containing radioactive materials, etc. (34 regulations completed by 4 schedule specifying limits and levels and specifying the types of licences that may be granted)
