Abstract
This Act makes provision for the registration and licensing of land surveyors and the carrying out of land surveys. It further provides for the establishment and powers of a Survey Control Board which will be responsible for the registration and licensing of land surveyors and for the exercise of disciplinary control over such surveyors.
The Act consists of 42 sections divided into 7 parts: Preliminary (I); Administration (II); Original Surveys and Re-Surveys (III); Subdivisional Surveys (IV); Beacons and Boundaries (V); General Plans and Diagrams (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).
There is hereby established a Survey Control Board under section 6. The duties of the Board shall be: (a) to conduct examinations of and trial surveys by persons who desire to become land surveyors; (b) to keep a register of land surveyors; (c) to hear complaints and to take such disciplinary action as may be necessary against land surveyors in accordance with the provisions of this Act; (d) to make recommendations to the Minister relating to the making of regulations under section forty; (e) generally to control and regulate the practice of the survey profession. Section 31 provides for general plans or diagrams.

An Act to make further and more comprehensive provisions for the registration and licensing of land surveyors; to provide for the manner in which land surveys shall be carried out and diagrams and plans connected therewith shall be prepared; to provide for the protection of survey beacons and other survey marks; to provide for the establishment and powers of a Survey Control Board which will be responsible for the registration and licensing of land surveyors and for the exercise of disciplinary control over such surveyors; and to provide for matters incidental to and connected with the foregoing.
