Abstract
The text consists of 51 sections divided into 5 Parts: Preliminary (I); National Heritage Conservation Commission (II); Administration (III); Financial Provisions (IV); Conservation of Heritage (V).
The Commission for Preservation of Natural and Historical Monuments established under the Natural and Historical Monuments and Relics Act is continued as if established under this Act (sect. 3). Upon recommendation of the Commission, the Minister may, by Statutory Notice, declare heritage or relics to be a national monument, subject to personal property rights (sect. 27). Monuments shall be registered (sect. 29). Export of heritage or removal or altering or destruction of heritage or relic requires a permission of the Commission. Restrictions on use shall not affect agricultural operations (sect. 41).

Act to repeal the Natural and Historical Monuments and Relics Act; to establish a National Heritage Conservation Commission; to define the functions and powers of the Commission; to provide for the conservation of ancient, cultural and natural heritage, relics and other objects of aesthetic, historical, prehistorical, archaeological or scientific interest; to provide for the regulation of archaeological excavations and export of relics; and to provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
