Pharmacy and Poisons Act (Cap. 299).

This Act regulates the manufacture, prescription and use of, and trade in, drugs and poisons used for human beings and animals and in agriculture and other activities. There shall be appointed by the Minister a Pharmacy and Poisons Board, which shall appoint a Registrar. Pharmacists shall be registered with the Board. The Board shall, as soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, prepare and submit to the Minister for his approval a list of the substances which are to be treated as poisons for the purposes of this Act. Sellers of poisons must be licensed. Veterinary medicine may also be dispensed by veterinary surgeons. Food shall be kept separate from poisons. The Act also provides with respect to the importation of drugs and poisons and inspections, and grants regulation-making powers to the Minister.
