Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Public Health Act, prescribe rules for, among other things, the sale of meat, management of abattoirs, slaughtering of animals, inspection and marking of meat and transportation of meat. The Regulations shall apply in such (parts of) Districts as the Minister may declare by Statutory Notice. No meat shall be sold unless marked as fit for consumption by a Meat Inspector in a manner to be approved by the Local Authority. The Regulations also provide for humane treatment of animals waiting to be slaughtered and the approval of butcheries.
