Abstract
The Registrar, appointed under section 3, shall keep separate registers for the registration of brands of: (a) horses; (b) cattle; (c) and sheep and goats. Sections 5 and 6 provide for the application for the registration of a brand. Brands shall be allotted by Registrar in accordance with section 7. A certificate of registration shall be issued. The Registrar shall publish each year a Brand Directory (sect. 9). Any proprietor may cede and transfer his right to any registered brand to any other person, in such form as may be prescribed (sect. 9). Other provisions of this Act prescribe offences and grant regulation-making powers to the Minister
