Abstract
This Act provides amends the Estate Administrators Act to provide with respect to insolvency practitioners. The short title of the Act is now the Estate Administrators and Insolvency Practitioners Act and defines "work of an insolvency practitioner". A new Part is inserted in the principal Act. This Part (IIIA) concerns the registration of insolvency practitioners and related matters. There shall be a Code of Ethics for insolvency practitioners (Second Schedule) which shall regulate the conduct of insolvency practitioners and estate administrators. Various other amendments are made for the certification and control of conduct of insolvency practitioners.
