Abstract
These Regulations provide standards for the production of alcoholic beverages, i.e. any beverage, or fruit extract drink that contains not less than nought comma 2 percent of alcohol. The provisions lay down standards for the production and composition of the beverages and in certain cases regulate the use of food additives and preservatives.
Regulation 2 provides that these Regulations shall apply to all alcoholic beverages which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe and that no person shall sell, import for sale or manufacture for sale any alcoholic beverages other than in terms of these Regulations. Regulation 6 indicates areas of origin for wines.
