Guidelines for the Importation of Veterinary Medicines in terms of Section 75 of the Act.

These Guidelines apply to all applicants who want to import unregistered or unavailable veterinary medicines. They define the categories of classification of veterinary medicines. The Guidelines lay down the responsibilities of various stakeholders in case of import of unregistered veterinary medicines for a specific user/farmer and for resale by wholesale dealer. The stakeholders include the farmer, registered veterinarian, department of veterinary services, wholesale dealer, Authority and the Port Authority. A list of approved ports of entry is also provided.
