Definitions

National or sub-national acts or Statutes begin as Bills; also referred to as a draft Act, draft Statute or proposed Law; by its nature, a Bill is not legally binding until the legislature completes the process of enactment. In many jurisdictions, approval or consent is also required by the president, governor or similar functionary.
