Abstract
This Instruction consisting of 14 articles regulates well drilling activities. Responsible body is the General Authority for Groundwater of the Ministry of Water Resources.
It is established that the groundwater is a state property and its extraction and exploitation is possible only under license issued by the Authority. The Ministry is responsible for conducting studies and hydrological investigations, for disclosure of underground water sources and controls their utilization. The Minister decides also the areas where drilling is prohibited.
Art.3 deals with conditions to be met to issuing the licenses. Arts.4 and 5 specify rules to be met by the driller before and during dig operations. Art.6 deals with the commitments for the beneficiary. The Authority can inspect or stop pumping from wells if necessary.
Entry into force notes
This Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
